SolSys_go_P
Portable Turbidity Measurement

The SolSys_go_P is a unique system built to a clients specification using a SolSys turbidity flowcell in a portable rugged case to withstand the rigours of the application.

Our client requested a battery operated, portable suspended solids analyser for mains flushing activities. The intention was to be able to use the accurate turbidity data to trim flushing times and to give consistent , traceable results. Previous systems had used a laptop for logging data, this new system logs all of it's data (up to 6 years worth!) onto an inexpensive SD card, negating any need to leave vunerable computer equipment lying around...

Data is displayed on the external screen, connections for the flow-cell are made via quick-release connectors on the outside of the case.

The battery used for this application is an inexpensive, widely-available gel battery, we have added some cushioning to ensure a snug fit, and a harness so that the battery can be easily removed and replaced.

The system is simple to operate and easy to maintain, not only that, but easy connections for short term surveying was another of the key requirements which ensured this system ticked all the boxes.

In general the battery will last for a full 12 hours or so of constant use. The latest version now comes with a bulkhead connector for external charging of the battery or in order to supplement the battery with a large deep cycle marine battery for longer term applications.

The standard 12Ah battery can now easily be extended to 100Ah by the addition of an 88Ah external battery or even run via mains power, as the intelligent charger is suitable for permanent connection.

This system uses the scattered light 90 degree method - please get in touch for more details.
