CSys_COD
On-Line Chemical Oxygen Demand - DiChromate Method

C-Sys: COD COD is a measure of the organic load in a substance and, is therefore important as a measure of pollution, quantifying organic product loss and calculating effluent charges. CSys_COD measures COD by a standard method using acidic oxidation with Dichromate ions.

It should also be noted that with this method, Aromatics and pyridines are not oxidised at all. In natural waters these interferants are rare, but care must be taken with industrial liquors. Sample must be pretreated to avoid blockage, this may be achieved with a cutter pump and a crossflow filter. Soluble COD may be determined using a submersible ultrafilter

Analyser Features:

  • Optional crossflow filter for dirty samples
  • Optional submersible ultra filtration for soluble COD
  • Programmable digestion time
  • Twin wavelength detection for different ranges
  • Autocalibration
  • Manual sample input capability

COD analyser
