Stip specialise
in online analysis of the most demanding waste water. They
developed the first continuous short-time BOD measuring unit, which
shortened the measuring time for BOD from 5 days right down to 3
minutes. This offered for the first time the possibility of
using this parameter to monitor and regulate WWTP's. Online
analysers for Toxicity, COD and TOC, and those for nitrogen and
ammonium followed. Today, the range encompasses the entire spectrum
of parameters utilised in waste water analysis. During the development
of each of these waste water analysers, Stip have designed their
units to function without recourse to elaborate filtration methods.
In this way, clear-cut operational concepts with large-diameter
tubing systems have become a trademark of STIP analysing units.

analysers are available to measure many different parameters,
and in most cases, they offer at least two different measurement
techniques. For COD, there is high temperature or wet
chemical methodology or Uv/ Vis scanning. For nitrate,
there are potentiometric and photometric analysers. Three
different BOD and toxicity analysers allow much flexibility
to choose the best application for your individual application.

|
| In
the Mid-1990's Stip advanced the art of nutrient monitoring
by introducing Process Buoys - analysers placed directly into
wastewater or activated sludge. They eliminate the need
for pumps, supply lines and filters, saving time and money.
More recently these advances have continued with the introduction
of the Helios and Stip-scan in-situ probes. |
