Phoenix-1010-
schematic- How ozone oxidation works
Dilution
water is enriched with ozone - an ozone probe measures
the dissolved ozone level
Wastewater
and ozone-enriched dilution water then enter the reaction
chamber where oxidation occurs
Second
ozone probe measures the residual ozone level
Computer
controls the dilution rate so as to maintain a low,
constant level of ozone depletion in the reaction
chamber, and a high, constant level of residual ozone.
Typical
Applications:
Reducing
Effluent COD discharge
COD
measurement at a pharmaceutical company

"We
also review the analyzer data on a monthly basis and compare the
results with routine laboratory BOD5 data for the same time period.
We have found there to be an excellent correlation between the lab
and the analyzer results."
