The
Salt Lake City authorities placed the first instruments in position
in early December, the last started operating in January 2002.
Salt Lake
City authorities contacted Environmental Protection Authorities
Hamburg, Germany, for additional help. EPA Hamburg has a lot
of experience in water control; over the years they installed
15 bbe biomonitor systems, co-operation has been logical in
a case of such importance. Hamburg sent an officer to Salt
Lake City for transfer of experience in water surveillance.
