detects reflected IR light from water surfaces, any
oil present increases the amount of light reflected.
It may be deployed wherever the surface water is relatively
calm & reacts rapidly to partial and complete surface
oil films. It is extremely stable needing only occasional
validation to ensure reliable operation. Alarm &
analogue output are available. This system has been
employed by a large UK water company for many years
to protect water abstraction works.
Enviroflu-HC
is an extremely sensitive UV fluorescent detection system
for dissolved PAH's, commonly found in petroleum based
oils. Sensing down to ppb levels it outperforms other
methods such as infra red scattering or absorption.
It requires no reagents or standards and may be provided
with an air clean facility. The sensor may be deployed
"in-situ", "In-pipe" or off line.
Also available in portable format. Applications in the
UK and Europe include: Bore hole monitoring, Surface
water runoff protection, cooling water circuit monitoring
and water abstraction monitoring.
